CONNECTING COMMUNITIES

The Pairc Trust, with assistance from the WHP Telecoms Community Benefit Fund, has launched a project to improve 4G mobile coverage across the Estate, with a pilot scheme started in 2023 to improve signal in the village of Orinsay.

Under this scheme, three properties were fitted with directional antennae by a local IT firm in order to capture and enhance the 4G signal from the nearby Lemreway mast. After a trial period to review the performance of the equipment showed a marked improvement in signal availability, we are now able to offer this service more widely to Pairc residents.
