We had a fantastic day on Saturday to celebrate Pairc Community Festival. We began the day with a walk in Calbost and would like to thank Pairc Historical Society on guiding the walk and for providing a fascinating talk on the history of Calbost. We then had a great BBQ at Ravenspoint Centre with engaging conversations and were joined by the Hebridean Baker later in the day on his book tour. We also ran a raffle with funds raised going to Ravenspoint Centre, a total of £251.
We would like to thank the Ravenspoint volunteers, in particular Sasha, Maxine and Chanté who catered for us on the day as BBQ food was enjoyed by everyone along with some excellent baking! Next door at The Resource Centre, we were delighted to see so many children having fun on the bouncy castle and creating Halloween crafts!
Finally, we would like to thank everyone that came along to our Pairc Community Festival event and Flora from Community Land Scotland for joining us. This annual celebration brings together communities to highlight the power of community land ownership and we were very pleased to see such a great turn out and great community spirit!
